D.Module.ADDA12MUX
16-channel, 12 bit data acquisition frontend
The D.Module.ADDA12MUX offers 16 input channels which are multiplexed onto a 12-bit 1 MSPS successive approximation ADC. The conversion sequence is fully programmable - either a predefined number of inputs (1..16) at identical sampling intervals, or individual inputs at different speeds. The overall throughput is 1MSPS which allows to sample all 16 inputs continuously at 62.5 kHz. Also included are four analog outputs driven by a 4-channel 12-bit DAC with 10μs settling time.
Key application areas are industrial control systems and robotics. Inputs and outputs are single-ended and use the industry-standard ±10V full-scale voltage range. The D.Module.ADDA12MUX connects to a DSP-system via two serial ports (McBSP or SPORT). The modular, self-stacking concept facilitates building complete signal processing systems.
