Problems:
- Breakpoints are not active when they are set while the CPU is running
- GEL-file input is not asserted while the CPU is running
Solution:
Open "Generic Debugger Options"
Activate "Service critical interrupts when halted (enables non-intrusive accesses on legacy drivers)"
In some older releases this option was “Enable silicon real-time mode (service critical interrupts when halted, allow debugger accesses while running)”.
Then select “Yes” if a dialog box pops up asking if you want to allow real-time switching.
