C6000 CGTools 7.4.24 - DSP/BIOS: Invalid octal constant specified

Problem

After installing C6000 CGTools version 7.4.24 DSP/BIOS projects will not compile anymore and an error 

    Invalid ocatal constant specified

will be reported. This happens on new created DSP/BIOS projects and also on old DSP/BIOS projects that worked with old compiler tools.

Solution

This effect is caused by new C6000 CGTools version 7.4.24. Follow these instructions

Downgrade Compiler Tools

to downgrade compiler tools to version 7.4.23.
